August 14th 2012, Toronto. In celebration of urban animals alike the CBC's Nature of Things is airing a documentary titled SQUIRRELS: An Urban Love Story?. To promote the upcoming show which airs October 25th, they have launched a Squirrel Photo Contest (Filemobile things this might be the first of its kind :-) ) the CBC is asking their audience to send in their best squirrel-related pictures.

The Nature of Things is asking that submissions include a brief description of your photo - whether it's the story behind the pic or your thoughts about squirrels in general. On November 2nd, the CBC will choose 2 winners - one for the Squirreliest pic, and another for the Most Nutty.

The CBC Nature of Things Squirrel Photo Contest makes use of the Media Factory's Upload and Slideshow Widget. The upload widget allows a content producer to drop in an iframe that contains the registration and upload work flow so users can easily upload photos from their computer. The Slideshow widget can display hundreds of images and is easy to embed into a page. Both allow producers to easily launch a user generated content program very quickly with no programming involved.
