Filemobile gets two nominations at 2008 Canadian New Media Awards.

June 9th, 2008 -- The Canadian New Media Awards (CNMA) today announced the finalists for the 8th annual Canadian New Media Awards. The awards will be handed out in Toronto on November of 2008.

Filemobile has been nominated for the "Most Promising Company of the year", and our Lead Architect Evert Pot has been nominated for "Developer of the Year".

After two (plus) solid years of work on Media Factory, we are delighted to be receiving accolades like this in our industry. We could not do what we do if it wasn't for our team, and our clients. We are pretty excited about how our business has developed, and where we see it going. To have Evert Pot nominated is icing on the cake for us. Evert has been a rock solid, dependable and creative force that has really driven our development over the last few years. We are pulling for him to win.

It's interesting to note that 2003's winner in this category was Ludicorp who were the folks behind Flickr! and were an early inspiration for our business. Ludicorp won, not for Flickr but for their Game Neverending which ironically was never completed, and is the stuff of legends.
