On November 11th, 1989 Victor Davis, a gold medal winning Olympic swimmer was struck by an allegedly drunk driver in Montreal.
The Davis family chose to donate his organs. It was later learned that Victor's gift would impact five people. Some are alive today thanks to his donations.
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of his loss and to honor his memory and to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation, Victor's brother Greg will be cycling from his home town of Guelph, Ontario to Montreal, Quebec. He will be stopping at hospitals and organ donation centres along the way to raise awareness for organ donations.
Greg will be video and photo blogging the entire experience using Filemobile's blogging application. Filemobile founder Steve Hulford swam with Victor Davis and felt it appropriate for Filemobile to help out in the event.
